We have barbecue facilities and tables for large groups, company picnics, or birthday parties. We even have picnic sites in our Rides Area...a perfect place for a child's Birthday Party! Oakland Zoo Picnic Reservations Information

In order to reserve a picnic site please call Group Services & Facility Rentals at (510) 632-9525 Ext. 200 to charge a 50% deposit. If paid by check, the deposit must be received in our office in order to reserve the site. Checks should be made payable to: The Oakland Zoo. Once the deposit has been received, a copy of the Picnic Reservation Request Form and detailed information will be mailed to you. The balance of the reservation fee will be payable two (2) weeks before the scheduled reservation.

The Oakland Zoo can accomodate film shoots, documentaries, photo shoots, etc. With an ever increasing portfolio of productions which have been filmed at Oakland Zoo, our reputation as a desirable choice for filming locations is growing rapidly. We are very film friendly and happy to accommodate production crews throughout the year.
