June 2, 2016 - Action for the Illegal Wildlife Trade: ARCAS

Lectures about animals, conservation, and other science or nature related topics. Presented by Oakland Zoo staff members Natasha Tworoski and Liz Low
ARCAS in Guatemala has grown into one of the largest and most complex wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers in the world, receiving between 300 and 600 animals every year that have been rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Through a fund that sends Oakland Zoo staff into the field, Natasha and Liz will share with us the adventure of caring for fragile animals with the aim of releasing them back into the wild.
