Begin your overnight party with an interactive program led by one of our Education Specialists, featuring: hands-on activities in one of our classrooms, a fun animal enrichment craft, a live animal presentation and a night tour of our Children's Zoo. Then gather your friends and family together to eat and sing happy birthday before bed. Enrichment: In this overnight students learn how they can make the lives of Zoo animals, pets, and native wildlife more enriching and fun You'll learn all about how biologists design projects to encourage natural behaviors of zoo animals and then take a tour to study them. After, you will get to make your enrichment craft with your group. In the morning, you then deliver your project to study the effects, and explore how to improve the lives of wildlife in your own backyards before heading home.
Outside Option: During the months of April through September, some of our programs have the option of choosing to sleep in tents in our Zoo Meadow. (Please contact us to see which themes have the options of sleeping outside.) You will arrive an hour early to have time to set up your tents, which you will need to provide. Because of the size of the Meadow this option limits the maximum number of participants to 60 (instead of 100 that we can accommodate inside). Outside overnights are subject to weather conditions and may need to be moved inside. Note: No refunds can be made due to weather.
