Gather up your Den and head on down to the Oakland Zoo for a day full of fun and adventure! Explore the Zoo, earn a badge, play games, learn about animals, and create a fun craft. Explore the animal kingdom, discover what it's like to be a naturalist or learn how to care for animals all around the world and in your own backyard. There are many fun hands-on workshops for you to choose from.
Grab your sleeping bags and pillows and join us for an amazing night at the Zoo! Meet other scouts, explore the Zoo on a private evening tour, meet an Education animal up-close, participate in fun hands-on activities, play games, and earn a patch/badge. Wake in the morning and head back into the Zoo before the public arrives and observe the animals as they wake. It's a night your troop will never forget!

Bring your Cadet Girl Scout troops to the Zoo for an exciting and hands-on 2 part program about to learn how to care for pets, wildlife, and zoo animals. First, explore the Zoo on a guided tour and learn how biologists design projects to encourage natural behaviors of zoo animals. After, your troop will brainstorm your own project and return home to design and complete it. Then on your second visit, you will return to the Zoo and observe the animals interacting with your items.
