23rd Annual Walk in the Wild: An Epicurean Escapade!


Join us on Saturday, June 27, 2015 for a benefit like no other. Walk in the Wild, Oakland Zoo’s largest annual fundraiser, offers guests an enchanting evening of live musical entertainment, scrumptious dining from the Bay Area’s top chefs and restaurants, an impressive selection of regional beers and wines, and dessert and dancing under the stars. Due to the service of alcohol, adults only. No guests under 21 please.

All proceeds go directly to providing the highest quality animal care and exhibits, supporting the protection of endangered species worldwide, and delivering impactful education programs that aim to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders.

The Walk in the Wild main event is $125 per person for Zoo members and $150 per person for non-members in advance. Day of cost for the Main Event is $150 for ALL guests (members and non-members). Day of tickets can be purchased at the Main Entrance.

Tickets to attend the themed Patron Party are $350 per person.

Walk in the Wild: Schedule of Events

Private Pre-Event for Patrons and Sponsors (4:00 - 6:00pm)
It’s a themed party, “California Dreaming”, in the Snow Building. Festivities will include special appearances from the Zoo’s animal ambassadors, live music, specialty cocktails, Zoo update from the President and CEO, Dr. Joel Parrott, and the opportunity to get a head start on the Walk in the Wild festivities.

Main Event (5:00 - 8:00pm)
Wine, Dine & Stroll! Enjoy an evening at Oakland Zoo and discover some of the Bay Area’s finest epicurean offerings. Enjoy delectable delights from nearly 100 bakeries, breweries, caterers, restaurants, and wineries.

Dancing and Dessert Under the Stars, Adventure Landing (8:00 - 10:00pm)
End your evening on a sweet note as you sample an array of desserts and dance the night away under the stars to the rhythm of the night’s live entertainment.
