Your 45-minute interactive program hosted by an Oakland Zoo Education Specialist in our Clorox Wildlife Theater in the Valley Children's Zoo, will provide an opportunity to explore animal adaptations through games, songs and a live animal presentation. After your program ends, your class, using their honed observational skills, can explore the Zoo at your own pace.
Ages: K-2nd and 3rd-5th grades.
Group Size:Minimum of 15 participants / Maximum of 150 (includes all adults and children).
Program Fees: $8.00 per child July-March / $10.00 per child April-June. Memberships do not apply.
Parking Fees: $8.00 per car / $12.00 per bus.
Dates: Monday - Friday, except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Times: 9:30am-10:15am OR 11:00am-11:45am.
Depending on the grades attending the Assembly, the Zoo staff will choose the appropriate topics. If you are the first to reserve a particular date and time you may request a particular topic for your main age group when you speak with our Reservations Associate

When to Book>
Our programs are very popular, so we recommend that you fax or email your request form 4- 6 weeks in advance of the date you would like to reserve. We cannot accommodate requests for bookings less than two weeks prior to the event.
How to Book
Please fill out the Wildlife Assembly Information and Registration Form completely and email it to our Reservations Associate, or you may fax it to 510-729-7324.
A copy of your PO or payment in full is due at least 45 days in advance.
Changes to Your Reservation Date
One change to your reservation date can be made as long as it is requested at least 45 days prior to your originally-scheduled program. Should you need to make a change, we will gladly work with you to reschedule a date for later in the same school year, pending availability, and any previous payments will be applied to the new reservation.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you will receive a full refund if you cancel more than 45 days prior to the event. We are sorry, but we cannot give any refunds for cancelations made less than 45 days in advance.
