An Education Specialist will bring the ZooMobile to your classroom, library, senior center, summer camp or youth group and use small animals and animal artifacts to teach grade-appropriate topics. Participants will have an opportunity to see the animals up-close and to touch most of the animals presented.

Program Options

School ZooMobiles

For Ages: Pre-K to 12th Grade
Location: Classroom, Summer Camp or Youth Group Facility
Pricing: $155.00 (1st 40-minute program), $130.00 for additional programs (Maximum 3 per day)
$180.00 (1st 50-minute program), $155.00 for additional programs (Maximum 2 per day)
Zone Fees: Additional Zone Fees may apply to your location.
Dates: Monday - Friday
Program Length: Pre-Kindergarten - 1st Grade: 40 minute program; 2nd - 5th Grade: 50 minute program.
Number of Participants: 35 Maximum
Program Times: Varies dependent on your location.
Animals: Participants are permitted to touch the animals if the total number of participants does not exceed 35. Children 3 years and younger require an adult's assistance when touching the animals.

Library ZooMobiles

For Ages: Pre-Kindergarten to Adult
Pricing: $180.00 (1st 50-minute program), $155.00 for an additional program
Dates: Monday - Saturday
Program Length: 50 minutes
Number of Participants: 50 Maximum
Program Start Times: 9:30am - 2:00pm
Program: Zoo staff will choose appropriate topics based on event attendees. See below descriptions for possible topics:

Pricing: $130.00 (1st 50-minute program), $105.00 for an dditional program
Dates: Monday - Saturday
Program Length: 50 minutes
Number of Participants: 35 Maximum
Program Start Times: 9:30am - 2:00pm
Program: "Habitats and Adaptations" Did you ever wonder why rainforest animals are so colorful, or have such loud voices? Did you notice how alligators float and sink in the water? Explore habitats and the animals that are built to thrive in them. You will be a whole different mammal after this visit from the Zoo!

When to Book
Our programs are very popular, so we recommend that you fax or email your request form 4- 6 weeks in advance of the date you would like to reserve. We cannot accommodate requests for bookings less than two weeks prior to the event.

How to Book
Please fill out the School Zoomobile Form, Library ZooMobile Form, or Senior ZooMobile Form completely and email it to our Reservations Associate, or you may fax it to 510-729-7324.

Payment Due
A copy of your PO or payment in full is due at least 45 days in advance.

Changes to Your Reservation Date
One change to your reservation date can be made as long as it is requested at least 45 days prior to your originally-scheduled program. Should you need to make a change, we will gladly work with you to reschedule a date for later in the same school year, pending availability, and any previous payments will be applied to the new reservation.

If you need to cancel your reservation, you will receive a full refund if you cancel more than 45 days prior to the event. We are sorry, but we cannot give any refunds for cancelations made less than 45 days in advance.
