Put on your jammies and enjoy an evening of animal close-ups and a bonus Zoovie movie with the whole family. Bring your pillows, blankets, and chairs and snuggle up in our auditorium as Roosevelt, our costumed alligator mascot, introduces you to some of our nocturnal Education animals. After that, enjoy a specially-selected animal-or nature-themed movie. Hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course) and popcorn will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own treats and traditional family movie fare.
Age Requirements: For families with children ages 4 - 11 years old
Program Time: 6:30pm - 9:30pm

Program Fee: Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $7.00 per adult and $7.00 per child to cover the costs of the Animal close-up program and snacks.
For groups of 4 or more: $6.00 per adult / $6.00 per child
Location: Zimmer Auditorium. Please park in the Lower Parking Lot and proceed to the Zimmer Auditorium. Please wait outside in the courtyard, our staff will let you in when the program starts.

Zoovie Movie Nights are perfect for families with children 4 - 11 years old. Older siblings are also
welcome, but the movies and educational components will be
geared to the above age level. Movies are shown (rain or shine) on Friday or Saturday nights, usually in the Marian Zimmer Auditorium. The auditorium limits the capacity to 50 total participants (adults and children).
Movies are pre-screened to ensure appropriate content and are predominantly rated G for general audiences. You may also to refer to www.commonsensemedia.org where you can review the content of the movies being shown.
To make a reservation, download the Zoovie Night Registration Form, complete, and fax it to: (510) 729-7324 or email it to the Education Programs Associate. Our programs are very popular, so we recommend that you send in or email your request form at least 2 weeks in advance of the date you would like to reserve.
Your payment is due in full at the time of reservation. Please note that once you register and pay your fee, we are not able to offer refunds for cancellations.
One change to your reservation date can be made as long as it is requested at least 14 days prior to your originally-scheduled program. Should you need to make a change, we will gladly work with you to reschedule a later date, if space is available, and any previous payments will be applied to the new reservation.
