One Day Event at Oakland Zoo Lets Girls Meet Barbie® and see a Sneak Peek of the Newest Full-length Barbie™ Musical

Families with little girls are invited to a special one-day Barbie™ event where they will meet Barbie® and see a sneak peek of the highly anticipated musical “Barbie™ as The Island Princess.” The seventh DVD release in the popular Barbie™ princess series, “Barbie™ as The Island Princess” combines musical adventures, adorable animals and lessons of friendship, love and courage.

ABOUT “BARBIE™ AS THE ISLAND PRINCESS”
This fall, girls will delight in “Barbie™ as The Island Princess™,” the all-new movie in the beloved and best-selling Barbie™ Princess DVD series. In this full-length original musical featuring nine original songs, Barbie® stars as Princess Rosella™, who is shipwrecked on an island and grows up unaware of her true identity. In her island paradise, Rosella™ is able to talk and sing with a “family” of loving animals including the red panda Sagi™, the peacock Azul™ and the baby elephant Tika™. But when the adventurous Prince Antonio™ discovers their tropical island, Rosella’s desire to uncover her past leads her (and her loyal animal friends) to sail with the prince to his coastal castle. There, she begins to learn the ways of civilization and thwarts an evil plot to take over the kingdom. All ends happily, as Rosella™, the prince and her animal friends learn that “there may be miracles awaiting, they may be closer than you know, when you have love to guide us as you go.”
