This two hour indoor party includes:

• 1 hour program featuring an age appropriate story, live animal presentation and a fun animal enrichment craft. (Please note that children under 3 years will not be able to touch the animals during the presentation.)
• 1 hour for refreshments and presents.
• Zoo and party admission for 20 guests (including the birthday family, all adults, children and infants). Additional passes may be purchased for $15 for each additional participant. There is a maximum of 40 guests. You may not purchase party or zoo admission for more than 40 persons and no more than 40 persons are allowed in the party rooms at any time.
  
• Your fee includes 10 parking passes which will be mailed to you.
• One (1) gift bag for each child. Bags include zoo themed party favors and 5 new Oakland Zoo Top Trumps cards, plus a special gift for the birthday child.
• A gift for the birthday child.
• Eco-friendly tablecloths, napkins, cups, cake size plates, and utensils for all of your guests.
• Our party classrooms are highly decorative and engaging for children. We provide 2 "Happy Birthday" banners, but you are welcome to bring other decorative paper products.
• Enrichment craft is something the children make for the animals in the Children's Zoo, often a decorated box or bag with various snacks in it. At the end of the party they will get to watch the animal enjoy this special treat.

10:30am - 12:30pm or 1:30pm - 3:30pm*

(Note: guided tours change the start times to 10:00am and 1:00pm)

Birthdays are available on weekends, but please keep in mind that these spaces fill up fast.
We recommend reserving your birthday at least 8 weeks in advance.
 

*For afternoon parties, please remember the Zoo closes at 4:00pm (or 6:00pm during summer).

Fee: $360.00 for members / $410.00 for non-members.

You can also add the following items to your birthday party package:

• $5 for a 64oz pitcher of juice (apple, lemonade, grape or cran-raspberry)
• $3 for a 16oz basket of snacks (goldfish crackers, popcorn or pretzels)
• $17-$19 for each 16" pizza (cheese, pepperoni, vegetarian, hawaiian: (price based on toppings)

To Make a Reservation:

Reservation/Cancellation Policy for all Education Programs (Effective 5/1/09)

When to Book.................... Please send in your request at least 6 weeks in advance of the date you would like to reserve. We cannot accommodate requests for bookings less than two weeks prior to the event.

Payment Due..................... Within 2 weeks of making the reservation to hold your space. Reservations made less than 4 weeks in advance must pay in full at the time the reservation is made

Cancellation........................ 31 days or more prior: Payment is refunded minus $50 cancellation fee
30 days or fewer prior: No refunds will be made though payment may be applied to the same program the next year
