This will be a day full of events and fun things to do! Activities at the Oakland Zoo will focus on elephants.
Circus Finelli, an animal–free circus, will have acrobats and clowns performing at 12pm and 2pm.
There will be elephant information stations throughout the zoo, teaching fascinating things about our precocious pachyderms.
There will be also tours of the elephant barn ($5 fee).
You can also pick up your binocular and data sheet and become an elephant researcher for the day at Oakland Zoo's elephant research camp.
You will even have an opportunity to make treats for the elephants, and much more!
Join the keepers for a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the elephant barn for a $5 donation. All proceeds go to the Amboseli Elephant Research Project. Come join us for a really exciting day all about elephants! This exciting day starts at 10:00am.
