ZOO CONSERVATION OUTREACH GROUP (ZCOG)

The Zoo Conservation Outreach Group (ZCOG) is an alliance of North American zoological institutions, corporate partners, and individuals dedicated to assisting Latin American zoos and aquariums in their regional wildlife and habitat conservation efforts. They provide technical, material, and financial assistance to zoological institutions throughout Latin America.

The Oakland Zoo supports ZCOG by funding its various projects such as educational materials for Proyecto Conservacion Condor Andino. ZCOG also serves as an important zoo based information and training center which lends support to zoos and conservation efforts in the Americas. We support their efforts of distributing veterinary and office supplies, providing educational material, conducting training workshops, assisting in exhibit design and support all conservation related needs of progressing zoos.
