You'll find out when you come to the Zoo for a special family overnight! Looking for a fun and educational birthday experience for your child? The Zoo offers unique birthday packages. No matter what the occasion, the Oakland Zoo has a fun and exciting program waiting for you!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Go Wild for your Birthday!
Looking for a fun, educational birthday party experience for your child? The Oakland Zoo's Conservation & Education Department offers a terrific party package for a unique and memorable birthday for children ages 3-8. For the first hour, the birthday child and his or her guests will listen to a story, do a craft, and meet up to three of our education animals up-close (animals will vary depending on availability). After the program, you are welcome to keep your party going for an additional hour in one of our classrooms. You provide your own refreshments and we will provide colorful party decorations, party ware, and help with set-up and clean-up. After the party, your guests are invited to enjoy the rest of the Zoo! What goes on in the Zoo once the rest of the guests leave? You'll find out when your your group spends the night at the Oakland Zoo. A variety of themes let you focus on the rainforest, be a detective and snoop your way around the zoo, or study predator-prey relationships in a fun and exciting overnight adventure. Girl Scout Overnights
Spend a night with your troop exploring the zoo by flashlight. Make cool crafts to take home, play games, and earn a badge at the same time! Reserve a a night just for your troop or join other troops from the Bay Area on Girl Scout Council nights.

What happens at the zoo when all of the guests leave? Find out during your Cub Scout overnight! Cub Scouts ages 6-12 will play games, take a night hike, and enjoy activities that will fulfill requirements for Tigers through Webelos.

CAN'T TOP THAT! ZOOCAMP 2008!

The Oakland Zoo welcomes ZooCampers for an exciting week of nature discovery, animal adventures, and fun! Younger campers will be introduced to wildlife through stories, puppets, games, crafts, and small animal encounters. Older campers will discover the diversity of our planet and their role in it through scientific observation, ecology experiments and behind the scenes peeks.

ZOO KIDS

The Oakland Zoo is a great place to bring young children to explore the outdoors! Our Valley children's Zoo was built for children to experience the beauty and wonder of the animal world up close.
