Campers Entering or In Middle School

Campers in this age group have two options at ZooCamp! Chose your adventure from one of the camps below... or both!

Animal Mythbusters If you raise a lion from birth will he make a good pet? Do snakes sting with their tongues? Are elephants really afraid of mice? Bust these and other myths about animals in this exciting camp. Meet Zoo keepers and observe real animals to learn the truth. Use your knowledge to design and teach the public about what is really happening with the animals of the Oakland Zoo. If you love animal trivia, you'll love this camp. Times: Full day: 9:00am - 4:00pm Fees: $265 (Members) $285 (Non-Members)

Wild Survivor Image you are on a hike, and suddenly you find yourself lost in the woods. What should you do? Join us for a week of "Wild Survivor" and find out. Each day, campers will learn about and practice important skills like building a fire, finding food, collecting water, or making shelter. At the end of the week you'll have the knowledge to help you survive and you'll receive your very own emergency survival kit. Times: Full day: 9:00am - 4:00pm Fees: $285 (Members) $305 (Non-Members)

Special Friends
Campers may request one friend of the same age group to be with at ZooCamp and we will do our best to honor the request. Special Friend registrants must request each other on the on-line form.

Refunds (due to camper cancellations)
If you cancel more than 14 days before the first day of camp, you will receive a 90% refund. If you cancel less than 13 but more than 8 days before the first day of camp you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 7 days before the first day of camp you will not receive a refund.
Membership fees are non-refundable.

Late Pick-Up Policy
A fee of $5.00 for every 15 minutes will be charged for late pickups.

Before and After Care - Campers entering K-8th Grade
We are pleased to offer before and after care options for three sessions of camp this summer. Extra-camp participants will spend their time supervised in our Discovery Room and Camp Courtyard, with choices of crafts, stories, or games to keep them busy.

After Care Sessions

Session 2: June 25 - June 29
Session 5: July 23 - July 27
Session 7: August 6 - August 10

After Care Times and Cost
$40 for 8:30am - 9:00am
$60 for 4:00pm - 5:30pm
$90 for 8:30am - 9:00am and 4:00pm - 5:30pm

You must sign up for before and after care during the registration process.
Registration for Members begins March 12 at 10:00am
Registration for Non-Members begins March 26 at 10:00am
