Bedtime with the Beasts is a special overnight program for youth groups (ages 6-18) and their chaperones. An Oakland Zoo education specialist will lead your group on an evening night hike around the zoo where you’ll get a look at what the zoo is like after all of the guests leave. Afterwards, enjoy snacks, participate in a fun activity, and decorate your own Bedtime with the Beasts t-shirt before heading to bed in our education building for the evening.
In the morning your group will enjoy a tasty continental breakfast in the Maddie’s Center for Science and Environmental Education and pack up all of your things. After breakfast you’ll get the chance to meet one of our education animals, and then get ready to take a morning tour to see some of the animals before the guests arrive. Once the program ends you may head back home or feel free to take the rest of your morning to visit the zoo with your group.
Groups arrive at the zoo at 7:00pm and the program ends the next morning at 9:45am. Maximum group size is 50 participants (including adults). Bedtime with the Beasts is offered in the spring and fall by reservation. Rain or shine, this night is sure to be a memorable experience that everyone will enjoy!
