Wildlife Careers Day! :: Come explore the diversity of environmental careers!

Hey Teens! Do you love wildlife and the environment? Do you aspire to have a career with animals but aren’t sure what’s out there for you besides being a vet or a zookeeper? The world of environmental careers is vast and ever-expanding, and we want you to know all about it!

Our 1st annual Wildlife Careers Day is a conference designed for teens featuring environmental professionals from a variety of ecological fields. Teens will have the opportunity to participate in workshops focusing on such careers as environmental education, paleontology, behavioral science, marine science and wildlife rehabilitation. Come meet wildlife professionals and learn how YOU can be one of the top eco-specialists of the future!

This event will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 10:00am-2:30pm, in the Maddie’s Center for Science and Environmental Education at the Oakland Zoo.

This event is designed for teenagers, ages 13-19. Adults may attend this event only to accompany or chaperone their teens and will observe, but not participate in, activities. Please, no children under 13, or younger siblings.
