 Celebrate your Birthday at the Oakland Zoo!
The Zoo is a great place to have the party that everyone will talk about! See the amazing animals, ride the Outback Express Adventure Train, catch the view from the sky ride, and pet a goat! There is so much to do at the Zoo!
The Oakland Zoo has great Zoo-riffic party options to choose from... In addition to package options, the Zoo has five great birthday party locations which are close to the Zoo entrance and rides area. These outdoor sites are available twice a day or can be reserved for an entire day for an additional fee.

Want to celebrate your child's special day in a unique and interesting way? Bring them to the Zoo to celebrate! Begin your day with a interactive program led by one of our Education Specialists, featuring: hands-on activities, live animal presentation and a fun animal enrichment craft. Then gather your friends and family together to sing happy birthday, eat, and open presents. After your celebration, you will get to watch the animal enjoy the treat you made for them. End your birthday adventure with self-guided exploration of the zoo. Don't forget to stop in the Rides Area and ride the train!

Bring the Zoo to you! Make your child's next birthday a memorable one with a Birthday Party ZooMobile. Perfect for a small family gathering in your home. The birthday child (ages four and older) and their friends will meet four to five small animals, most of which can be touched. The birthday child will receive a Zoo gift to mark the occasion. A ZooMobile party is fun, educational and entertaining for all!
Please Note:
- ZooMobiles are only available for children turning 4 and older.
- Children under 3 may touch animals with adult assistance.
- Household pets must be kept in a separate room during the program.
- Maximum 25 participants, including all children and adults.
- Please schedule your Zoomobile to begin at least 30 minutes after your party's start time so your guests do not miss this special presentation.
Fee: $225 (members) plus zone fee (when applicable) $245 (non-members) plus zone fee (when applicable).

Reservation/Cancellation Policy for all Education Programs (Effective 4/1/10)
When to Book.................... Please send in your request at least 6 weeks in advance of the date you would like to reserve. We cannot accommodate requests for bookings less than two weeks prior to the event.

Payment Due..................... $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of the reservation and the balance two weeks before the date of the program, or your reservation will be cancelled. You will be sent an email reminder that your payment is due two weeks before the deadline.
Cancellations...................... Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the event will have any payments refunded. Cancellations made less than 45 days prior to the event will forfeit all payments.
