Oakland Zoo Volunteers Share Experiences
Each year, more than 300 volunteers donate their time to the Oakland Zoo. The Zoo is very grateful to the wonderful individuals who volunteer with the Animal Management department , the Veterinary Care Center , the Docent program , the Teen Wild Guide program , and Creek Keepers. We are also very thankful for our community and corporate volunteers.

Age 12 and up. "Habitat restoration" may be a fancy way of saying "weeding," but it's something that must be done to keep our Zoo and park looking fabulous. And, many of those weeds are like candy to our animals! Spend a day with friends and co-workers helping to restore habitats or assisting with other landscape management projects to make our animals' lives more comfortable.
