About the Position

Pay Range: To maintain internal equity, we have identified the starting range for this position at the Oakland Zoo as $115,000 - $125,000 per year. An offer within this range will be determined by the experience and qualifications of a candidate and will be our best and final compensation offer.

The Controller will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our non-profit zoo, overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the Controller will lead a team of dedicated professionals including an AP Specialist, Accountant, and Finance Specialist.

Hybrid Work Schedule: After an initial three-month period, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with remote work allowed 1 - 2 days per week.






$115,000 - $125,000 annually
