Train Driver

About the Position

A valid Driver's License is required for this role.

The Australian Outback Express Train is a highlight of guests’ visit to the Oakland Zoo. As the Train Driver, you will create a positive guest experience during this ride by collecting tickets, managing the boarding and deboarding of the train, and driving the train through the zoo and the Australia Exhibit. This role will work with Animal Care Team to learn how to safely work within the Australian animal exhibit and interact with our emus, wallaroos, and wallabies. While on the train, drivers will have the opportunity to interact with guests by sharing animal facts and more through our audio system.

Full COVID vaccination is required for any role at Oakland Zoo.
