Oakland Zoo in partnership with ARCAS is going to Guatemala with two dates to choose from:

November 30 - December 9, 2021 or December 9 - December 18, 2021!

Join us as Oakland Zoo staff leads two groups of (10) adults on two back-to-back trips. We will be working at the ARCAS rehabilitate center in Petén. Helping with the rehabilitation and care of mammals and birds rescued from the illegal pet trade in the Mayan Biosphere Reserve. There will also be side trips to Tikal (historic UNESCO site) Flores, and more.

This trip is open to everyone! This once-in-a-lifetime trip is ideal for those who want to have fun and do impactful work during their vocation. There is ample experience for those who are interested in gaining experience with animal care, hands on conservation work, or want a truly unique. 

To remain COVID safe we are requiring all attendees are vaccinated. We will be flying in an out of Flores, Guatemala, and staying only at ARCAS's Visitor Center.

The trip cost is $1400 includes in-country transportation, room and meals, and Tikal entrance fees. Flight is not included.
