Guests with Disabilities
Oakland Zoo welcomes individuals with disabilities and is committed to ensuring that the Zoo grounds, facilities and programs are accessible to all visitors. Although some of our pathways are steep and may be challenging, Oakland Zoo is wheelchair accessible. Download an ADA Accessibility Map of the Zoo. Reservation availability is limited, so please contact us at least two weeks in advance of your visit.
Private cart-driven tour : $40.00 (Cart tours are unavailable during the Glowfari event; wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available for rent on Glowfari nights on a first come, first served basis at the Gift Shop.)
Service Dogs Are Permitted
Individuals with disabilities may bring their service dogs to the Zoo. Please review Service Dog Policy and map of where service dogs are permitted to go in the Zoo.
Other dogs or other pets are not allowed on Zoo grounds or in parking areas.
Strollers and Wheelchairs and Electric Scooters
Strollers, Wheelchairs, and Electric Mobility Scooters are available for rent at the Gift Shop located by the Main Entrance.
Double Stroller: $11.00* - Currently, we do not have single strollers available.
Wheelchair : $15.00*
Electric Mobility Scooters: $30* - A valid driver's license is required for rental of any electric mobility scooter.
*All rentals are first come, first served.
