Meet some of our Education Animal Ambassadors up close! This live, interactive animal presentation takes place in our outdoor Wildlife Theater (weather permitting). After the program, groups are welcome to explore the Zoo on their own until their departure. This program is great for large groups with multiple classes and multiple age ranges.
OUSD Title 1 schools are eligible for Zoo-to-Community support, providing funds and space are available.
Can you listen with your feet? Can you smell with your tongue? While it might sound strange to us, different animals use their bodies in different ways to help them survive. With the help of ambassador animals and our own five senses, we will make observations to discover how animals use their bodies and senses to survive in the wild.
How do snakes dig without arms? Why do lizards do push-ups? How does a cockroach breathe? Why are tortoises so slow? We will tackle some of these questions and more in this fun program for all ages! With the help of our ambassador animals, students will make observations to discover how animals use their unique adaptations to thrive in the wild.
